Parishioners supply intentions for this year’s Living Rosary

In an event coordinated by the parish’s spiritual life committee, the annual Living Rosary filled the church with the prayers of this popular Marian devotion.  Parishioners lined the pews and aisles of the church in the shape of a rosary.  As each prayer was recited, a candle representing the bead was lit.  Prior to each decade, Fr. Bill, Deacon Chuck and Ben (our seminarian intern) provided a short reflection on the Glorious Mysteries.

New for this year’s devotion, parishioners could sign-up to have a special intention read prior to the recitation of each bead.  Intentions varied from world peace and vocations to specific intentions for member of the parishioner’s family.

At the conclusion of the service, Fr. Bill rededicated the parish’s Traveling Madonna.  The statue has been traveling around to parishioner’s homes for years.  Click HERE to learn more about it.
