After just over a year and a half as the administrator of St. Thomas More Parish, Bishop Malesic has formally appointed Fr. Mike as the parish’s next pastor! Fr. Mike will be installed at a Mass celebrated by Bishop at 6:45pm on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022.
This appointment is a formal and a more definitive title as the Bishop’s representative to care for the people of the parish and community. A pastor is responsible for all of the souls, regardless of faith tradition, within his parish’s boundaries.
In accepting this appointment, Fr. Mike begins to serve a term of six years which is renewable for another term in 2028.
“I am happy to be named pastor of St. Thomas More. Over the past 19 months, we have accomplished so much as a community of faith both spiritually and physically on our grounds. I look forward to continuing that journey together,” said Fr. Mike.
