On Saturday, March 11, Bishop Malesic instituted three men who are currently in formation for the permanent diaconate to ministry of lector. Jeff Stutzman, a parishioner and staff member, were among those instituted.
As a lector, the men are called to proclaim the readings, psalms and universal prayer at Mass as well as to teach the faith and prepare others for the sacraments. The institution to lector marks another major step in formation. Read more via the diocesan website here.
