From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.
“Christ is risen.” “He is risen, indeed. Alleluia!” “He is risen, indeed. Alleluia!” We continue with these praises, and add to them the “Awe-filled, Thank You Jesus!” for the Divine Mercy of God! Yes, this Second Sunday of Easter has us continuing our praises and our thanks. The Collect prayer for this Sunday begins:
“God of everlasting mercy, who in the very recurrence of the paschal feast kindle the faith of the people you have made your own, increase, we pray, the grace you have bestowed, that all may grasp and rightly understand in what font they have been washed, by whose Spirit they have been reborn, by whose Blood they have been redeemed…”
All three readings and the Psalm response speak to God’s love and mercy. Even St. Paul mentions of the early Church, “All who believed were together and had all things in common…” Let us continue to rejoice in the Lord, be thankful for God’s mercy, and pray to be one in God.

From the Pastor’s Desk:
HAPPY EASTER and Divine Mercy Sunday! Just as we celebrated the Christmas feast through-out the Christmas Season, let us also celebrate the Easter feast throughout this COMPLETE Easter season! Please join me in thanking all the “behind the scenes” people here at the parish who made this Lenten and Easter Season so prayerful and grand. I won’t list names, as they know who they are, and most of you know them as the rectory staff, the maintenance staff, music ministers, arts & environment, sacristans, Mop & Glow Crew, and others who were not shy on “just jumping in” to help. Thank You all as you pulled it together!
