From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.
“Christ is risen!” “He is risen, indeed. Alleluia!” Are you getting tired of it already? We are only into the Fourth Week of the Easter Season, and that is about half-way to Pentecost… So often like the Christmas Season, we have a tendency of dropping the season and moving on… Well, we need to keep things going. We need to keep up with the spirit of the early Christians with St. Peter in going out to others with the Good News of Christ. This week we hear about the Good Shepherd and often hear of sheep being the “simple followers”. But the sheep hear his voice and (then) follow the shepherd. Let’s take time to listen for the voice of Jesus in our hearts – in our private prayer time, and then (yes) continue to follow Jesus, the Christ!

From the Pastor’s Desk:
Two groups who need to be recognized this week are the PTU and school staff for their work on the Night at the Races event and the Parish Pastoral Council for all of their meeting and planning. It would be a nice challenge for someone to come forward and say, “There is not enough to do here at the parish…” It seems that there is always things to do and activities to be shared in with friends and other parishioners. This summer will be even more FUN! The challenge for the PPC and the school staff is quite simple – out-do last year! Stay tuned and see what you think, as from what I am hearing – this will be the Summer of Fun – 2.0!
