From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.
The people want intimacy and relationships. We know that we are created in the image of God and drawn by our nature to community. Part of that draw to community is the thirst for being in relation with others, and with our God. Today we celebrate the Solemnity of The Most Holy Trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – together as one, a most holy relationship.
The First Reading from the Book of Exodus speaks of the relationship of God and the people of Israel, with Moses acting between the two. The Responsorial Psalm and Second Reading from St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians give glory and praise, as we all rejoice. St. Paul even states (very frankly…), “Brothers and sisters, rejoice. Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.” We can see that all as a real challenge… But then even the Gospel of John tells us how much God loves us (all!) – that God gave us his only Son. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirt all want to have a deep relationship with each and every one of us. The question is do we really want that relationship with the Most Holy Trinity?

From the Pastor’s Desk:
The start of summer kicks off the Summer of Fun 2023 Schedule. But before we get too far from the school year, we need to stop and thank all of our staff, teachers, students, and parents of our Parish School of Religion (PSR) and our day school. It was a very long, yet quick, school year with a whole lot of things happening. We are taking time to say “thank you” to all and enjoy the opportunity to celebrate Mass and a simple cookout. Feel free to join us for the fun and thank everyone.
