From the corner office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.
The Seventeenth Sunday of Ordinary Time continues to point us to heaven, to the greater love and mercy of God. Solomon asks for the wisdom of understanding from God to better serve his people, God’s people. St. Paul writes that we are predestined to be in the image of Jesus, that we need to work for God. The one who loves God will see the good. This is very important for all of us, that we see the good of God, that we see God in each other. Having this wisdom to see God in all things, is a challenge indeed. BUT, the beauty is that with this wisdom, we’ll find God’s peace in our hearts. Let’s continue to work towards this wisdom of God.

From the Pastor’s Desk:
Back a few weeks now, we mentioned about the summer being half over. I know that some of us have also been celebrating “Christmas in July”. Even the worker up at Lowe’s laughed when we talked about the Halloween decorations already being in the store, and Christmas was not that far off. So, with that we also see the start of the fall sports season and the school year. There will be many (many) opportunities to get engaged with the sports or school events. Talk with our school age parents to encourage them to also “Get Engaged”!
