From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.
“CHRIST is risen!” … “Indeed He is risen!” This is the traditional Easter Greeting and Response that has been used for centuries in Christian communities. It is very important to recognize “the detail” in the usage of “is” ~ the present tense and not “…has risen…” the past tense. The small details, all make the difference… We remember the fact of Christ Jesus as “is risen” and living among us even today. The beauty of the resurrection gives us the hope and the faith to love as Christ shows us!
The readings (more than a few…) of the Easter Vigil Mass span the history of God’s interaction with all of us. The readings of Easter Sunday speak of Christ’s victory over death in his rising from the dead. Celebrate the resurrection in the “present tense” and take time to point out the details to others, as this is the basis of our faith and hope in the Risen Christ!

From the Pastor’s Desk:
Celebrating the Resurrection of Christ Jesus will help us move into this next season of Easter. We need to have the excitement of the early Church as they now understood the mystery that they did not recognize before. Spend time with Jesus in your prayer time and “celebrate”!
We need to thank all of the helpers with the arts & environment decorations, the church cleaning, and all of the other service of this whole Lenten Season. Thank you to all!
“CHRIST is risen!”
