As Oct. 17 marked the annual observance of Sweetest Day, St. Thomas More once again honored those who have been married for 50 years or more. At the conclusion of the Lord’s Prayer, Father Mike acknowledged all golden jubilee couples as Deacon Don along with his Beth presented them with a red rose. Following the rose presentation, all couples received a special blessing.
Before the blessing and dismissal, Father Mike asked those present who had been married the longest and who had been married most recently. Saturday’s 4:30 Mass had each of the “winners” with a couple married 67 years and a couple married two months ago.
We thank God for all of the couples especially those on our Golden Jubilee enrollment! May God continue to bless you with many more years of happiness and health.
