Parish pride sparkles as the 75th anniversary continues

If you’ve had some time to walk near the main entrance doors or the main vestibule of the church, you may notice a little sparkle in the area. Recently, the parish sent out the large plaques acknowledging the founding donors and the two pastor memorials.

Last weekend, the plaques honoring Msgr. Howard Smith, our founding pastor and Father Murray, pastor from 1972 to 1987 were rehung in their normal places near the main doors. In addition, the large plaques on the church’s back walls and vestibules have also been cleaned.

As Father Mike has mentioned as we being our 75thanniversary, we pray for those benefactors who help build the parish and those who help build for our future. The spirit of our $75,000 drive is to continue to evaluate the parish grounds and buildings and show some pride to the place that we have called home for 75 years while sharing it with the next generation. In addition, in looking to add 75 new parishioners, we look to continue to build our parish family for years to come.

So far during the campaign, we have raised just under $22,000 (29% of goal) and welcomed 30 new parishioners (40% of goal). If you are interested in donating, please consider taking a specially marked envelope at the entrances of the church or if you are not attending Mass in-person yet, contact the rectory to coordinate your donation. New parishioners are welcome to start the registration process HERE.
