Those who were attending last Sunday’s pancake breakfast noticed a rumbling in the parking lot before the 11am Mass. Once the thunder subsided, about 20 members of the Catholic Cross Bearers Motorcycle Ministry were parking their bikes in the newly re-surfaced parking lot.
The cross bearers were riding as part of their national rally scheduled for last weekend.
The Catholic Cross Bearers look “to provide a Catholic evangelistic presence in the motorcycling world and to all those who are in the streets or imprisoned; and to provide a riding group for Catholic Christian men and women for fellowship and ministry” (catholiccrossbearersmm.com).
There are five requirements of membership that include being a baptized Catholic (who also rides a street legal motorcycle), being obedient to the teachings of Jesus and have an active life in the Church. Read more about their requirements, their mission and more via their website.
After attending 11am Mass, the cross bearers returned to the parking lot for a special blessing from Father Mike and Deacon Don and to say their goodbyes as some of them were heading back home.
