New streaming system lends itself for new ministry opportunities

Viewers of daily Masses may have noticed some recent updates of the parish’s streaming equipment. Thanks to a grant from the Diocese of Cleveland’s Rooted in Faith campaign, the parish received funds to install new robotic cameras, switcher, audio board and more! Beginning with Masses last weekend, the system is now being used to broadcast Masses.

In addition to the parish’s YouTube channel, broadcasts are also available on the parish’s Facebook page. Sunday Masses are also streamed directly on our website (click on the Mass via the website calendar).

Parishioners who have a SmartTV, Roku, Apple TV or Amazon Fire can also stream Masses on their televisions. Download the “Boxcast” app and search for “St. Thomas More Parish – Brooklyn, Ohio.”

This new streaming set up also lends itself for a new ministry opportunity. Volunteers who are interested in becoming a member of a new communications ministry are invited to contact Jeff Stutzman, the parish’s youth minister. In addition to assisting with streaming, the communication ministry will give input and help with other digital communications efforts of the parish including the website, electronic newsletter, social media and more.
