Keeping your faith warm during a winter’s snow

With the latest winter weather blanketing northeast Ohio, parishioners can look to some online resources to help keep their faith life warm while the temperature outside is not. We’ve compiled some suggestions to help pass the time while waiting for warmer days.

FORMED
St. Thomas More households can stream hundreds of faith-based titles via FORMED. Think of FORMED like a “Catholic Netflix," from feature-length movies about the saints, short programs/series on a variety of topics to devotionals narrated by likes of Vince Scully. And the best part about a FORMED subscription is that it’s FREE! Click HERE to access our instruction page on how to access and claim your free subscription.

USCCB Website
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ website contains a variety of good Catholic content including:

Other resources include mediations, information on Mary and the saints and more.

Question of Faith podcast
The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland is happy to announce the launch of a new podcast, Question of Faith. This 20-minute show explores one question of faith each week and is hosted by Mike Hayes, the director of Young Adult Ministry, and Father Damian Ference, Vicar for Evangelization. In addition, weekly guests help explore the week’s topic. Click HERE to access the podcast’s home on the diocesan website.

AM1260 Cleveland Catholic Radio
Listen to daily shows, devotions and more. Tune your radio to AM 1260 or you can stream their station live from their website (here).

Liturgy of the Hours
As a Church, we are called to pray without ceasing. Clergy, religious and lay-faithful often pray the Liturgy of the Hours including the Office of Readings, Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer. A four-volume set of the Liturgy of the Hours or a single volume book of Christian Prayer contains the prayers for this popular devotion. In addition, the website DivineOffice.org contains the prayers for the hours and daily Mass readings as well.
