From the corner office for Dec. 25, 2022

From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.

Merry Christmas! The readings that we have are a mix from all of the Masses available, the Vigil Mass and the Mass During the night. PLEASE be sure to take the time to read with your Missal or your worship aid, such as the Word Among Us booklets – all the readings. Each of the readings and psalm responses have fruit to be enjoyed and shared. Yes! Even with the in-laws…

The First Reading from the Book of the Prophet Isaiah begins with, “…I will not be silent…” and so we also should not be silent. We have the Christmas message to deliver to others, as in the Responsorial Psalm that signs of the Savior Christ being born… St. Paul helps us out in telling Titus (…and all of us) that Jesus Christ has given himself to all of us! This is the Christmas Message that Jesus Christ was born for all of us, and is to be shared as God’s gift to everyone! So like the shepherds in St. Luke’s Gospel, and no matter who you are, the angel speaks to us saying, “Do not be afraid … a savior has been born for you who is Christ and Lord.” So in the Peace of Christmas, let us all give God Glory!

Fr. Mike

From the Pastor’s Desk:

The thank you notes and appreciations will be going out, and yes this is the start of that… The servers, ushers, greeters, lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Art & Environment, music coordinator, singers, cantors, musicians, faithful in the pews, the deacon (get the idea yet?) AND You and Your Family – THANK YOU!

We do want to be sure to thank all of the “secret Santa’s,” the Mr. & Mrs. Anonymous families, and even the Ms. Anonymous (new this year…) who have all been donating their time, talent, and personal treasures to ensure that we are able to celebrate and share all that we have here as a Family of Faith. Thank You all!

Merry Christmas to you and your family from all of the Staff here at St. Thomas More!
