From the corner office is Father Mike's weekly bulletin column.
“Christ is risen!” “He is risen, indeed. Alleluia!” So, did you look at the calendar and notice that this is the Sixth Sunday of the Easter Season, with the Ascension of the Lord, and then Pentecost Sunday…? Just seeing the dates of the Ascension and Pentecost approaching helps us see the introduction of the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, who is present within and among us all.
The First Reading tells us of the Holy Spirit being received by the early Church. Even St. Peter tells us of, “…he [Christ] was brought to life in the Spirit.” Jesus then tells us in the Gospel of John, “…he [God] will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth…” We have these preludes to the Holy Spirit coming and being among us. Let’s keep our hearts open and pray that we as a family of faith are always open and ready for the Holy Spirit.

From the Pastor’s Desk:
This weekend we, as a parish, celebrate together the reception of the Holy Spirit with our young adults. Being the “sacramental season,” last week we celebrated First Holy Communion with our younger parishioners. So this is a very busy time of the year. I would like to thank the parents, families, the “Sacramental Teaching” crew and all the church cleaners or decorators. We have been able to come together as a parish and family of faith to celebrate and share.
