From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin column.
This week is the Twelfth Sunday of Ordinary Time and one that offers us a “unique opportunity” in our reflection of the scriptures. We can actually work the message (or lesson…) backwards from the Gospel passage to the First Reading.
[Here we go…] This week Jesus tells us, first in the holy Gospel of St. Matthew, that Jesus said to the Twelve, “Fear no one…” Jesus tells us that we should not be fearful in things of this world. St. Paul tells the Romans of the overflow of the gracious gift for many. We are realizing the great love of God in the Responsorial Psalm. Then finally in the First Reading the prophet Jeremiah tells us all how the Lord saves us all!

From the Pastor’s Desk:
WOW! It is all coming together and the months of planning by the Parish Pastoral Council and the “Festival Warriors” is here this weekend. We have to continue to thank the volunteers, the St. Lawrence Grilling Ministry, those traveling from afar, the booth volunteers and lemonade pressers, set-up and clean-up crews, and everyone else who helped in the Summer Festival 2023!
