From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly bulletin colunm.
The past few weeks have all been really building on the prior week’s readings, and even on the reading from during the week. This Twenty-First Sunday of Ordinary finds us at a point of the disciples and “particularly” Simon. The weeks of storms, challenges, questions, and all of that brings us to Jesus’ asking (all of us…) “But who do you say that I am?” In a very special way, a very good question, but in another way – one we all need to answer ! The First Reading, the Responsorial Psalm, and St. Paul in the Second Reading are all very important. But they will never be more important than our reply as we stand in front of Jesus, when he asks, “But who do you say that I am?”

From the Pastor’s Desk:
This week is our Back to School Outdoor Mass and the Blessing of the Back Packs for the kids as part of our 2023 Summer of Fun activities… NOW PLEASE do not see this as the end of summer or the end of parish FUN! We know that we “…Are the Fun Parish!” and this is not the finality of any of that stuff. We do want to help bring the school families together and help the students begin to prepare for their studies. Please be sure to thank the Parish Council volunteers and workers who have helped with these summer activities. We also have to thank all of you for pulling together to have fun and grow as a parish! I hope you are having fun TOO!
