From the corner office for April 14, 2024

From the corner office is Father Mike's weekly bulletin column.

The Easter Message of PEACE continues… The Gospel passage continues with the two disciples back with the others as they are recounting their interaction with the risen Jesus on the way. They are recounting how Jesus joined them on the way and how they recognized him in the breaking of the bread. Then, before you know it – Jesus is there with them - again! Luke says that [Jesus] “…opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.” (If it was ever that easy, we all probably think from time to time.) But it is, with faith! We can reflect on Peter teaching the early sisters and brothers. Or even John reminding us of an Advocate with the Father, who helps us as we work to keep his word so that the love of God can be truly perfected in us all. We all need to keep at it, have faith, and see Jesus in our lives… “Peace be with you!” Jesus says to us, all.

~ Continual, “Easter, Peace be with you!”

From the Pastor’s Desk:

The Easter Season continues, and the Season of Lent and the Triduum celebrations are well in our rearview mirror. But we can’t completely move on without the thank you for all of the ministers during the season of Lent and the Easter celebrations. Not only would we need to thank the weekend ministers, but the Ministry of Consolation ministers have been busy with all of the funerals over this time period. To all of the ministers – THANK YOU! You not only help welcome the visitors and strangers, but you also help comfort the suffering and the families of those who have recently “graduated, into the heavenly banquet”. We are able to continue our Easter Season with being Easter People that we are all called to be for others – Thanks, again and again! “CHRIST is risen!”
