From the Corner Office for May 5, 2024

From the Corner Office is Father Mike's weekly column.

The Easter Season continues. Does that sound redundant compared to the last few weeks? The beauty of the Easter Season is that it does continue all the way until the Feast of Pentecost coming up in a few weeks. We recall the early days of the Church in our readings of the Act of the Apostles, the Epistles, and even in the Gospel of St. John. This week we return to the “Action of Easter,” the commandment of LOVE! St. John is known for his writing and the call to love. Jesus gives us his commandment to “love one another…” This is reflected in the readings and really an undercurrent of our call to be “Easter People” by serving God, through serving others. ~ (Yes, you guessed it, with Love!)

From the Pastor’s Desk:

This week we welcome our younger parishioners to the “Great Banquet” of the Holy Eucharist. In addition to thanking the teachers, aids, and volunteers who helped bring these children forward, we also need to thank the parents and grandparents who worked to move the children forward in their faith growth. So, the huge question is, (though…) will they still continue to grow? We as a community all really need to answer that one, as a community of faith and need to stand supporting each family in growing together, as a family of faith. Thanks to all!
