From the corner office for May 26, 2024

From the Corner Office is Father Mike’s weekly column. This column was prepared and submitted before Wednesday’s announcement.

The secret is out! This week we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Trinity. The “three in one” that includes God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The First Reading and the Second Reading both speak to the “relationship” with God. Even St. Paul breaks it down further that the relationship is one of “adoption” the parental relationship. The Gospel of Matthew presents Jesus greeting the disciples after the resurrection, where they (still…) doubted him, where Jesus now commissions them to go! Jesus tells them, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” So we also need to, “Go!” out to others…

From the Pastor’s Desk:
The campus gardens are starting to not only “come alive” but also spread their beauty. The birds, the yard animals, and the deer are all taking notice of these beautiful patches around the campus. We’ll need to not only thank the gardeners, but also encourage them for the long summer. If you feel drawn to helping out, at any level – even just watering or weeding, please call the rectory to get in contact with the gardening ministers. It all looks great out there! Thanks!
